Report: School Heads in Volta Region Are Sabotaging Free SHS

Apparently because of greed, some people want to destroy an amazing policy like Free SHS. Damn!

According to the Volta Regional Minister, Archibald Yao Letsa, some heads of senior high schools are trying to sabotage the free senior high school policy by extorting monies from parent who are anxious to get their children enrol in their school.

An example is Keta Senior High School, where parents are told to pay 250 cedis for hostel fees.
The regional minister upon hearing what is happening at Ketascho, rushed there and ordered them to stop.

"I quickly rushed there and asked them to stop but when I left, they told the parents the boarding house is full and turned them away," he said.

Mr. Letsa said he absolutely does not understand why some heads are behaving this way.
